On May 23, 2019, students of the 2nd year of the 2nd group of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Faculty of the National Pharmaceutical University who are studying under the educational program “Laboratory diagnostics”, under the direction of the associate professor of the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Morozenko Dmitry Volodymyrovych visited a cognitive excursion to the department of laboratory diagnostics and immunology of the DU “Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology named after Prof. MI Sitenko, NAMS of Ukraine”.
At the beginning of the tour, the head of the department, k. B. N. Frida Leontieva was given an interesting lecture on “Hematology, chemico-microscopic and bacteriological criteria in laboratory diagnostics”. Then students had the opportunity to visit all laboratory units of the department – the laboratory of clinical diagnosis, the sector of coagulation, the laboratory of clinical biochemistry and bacteriology. During the excursion, the laboratory-laboratory assistant of the highest category, Natalya Kuznetsova, showed cytological preparations for blood, sonography and bone marrow to future colleagues; a leading specialist-bacteriologist of the department, Oksana Shevtsova, conducted an excursion in the bacteriological unit.
We thank the head of the department and all its staff for a meaningful and interesting tour and with the assistance of the training of modern specialists in laboratory diagnostics on the basis of NFaU!
